Security in the Field

Part of the training we do before heading to Cambodia is called Field Security training. Ian and I recently went through a class in Texas, the same class as our team took a year ago. It is a class I pray I never have to use, but in the remote chance that I do, I am glad we went through it. The class was intense, a method called “stress inoculation.” We participated in one scenario after another, with a brief time to debrief in between. As a result, we learned how we reacted under stress. For the record, all of Ian’s paintball training means he is fast under stress! It was also a good reminder to ask the hard questions of ourselves and make sure we had thought things through. It was also a great reminder that GOD is in control of every situation.
